Old Bournemouthians' Association

Bournemouth School was established in 1901 and continues its distinguished record of providing a high quality of education for boys (and now girls) and achieving consistent academic excellence.  An organisation was formed to enable alumni to keep in touch, share their experiences and learn how their former schoolmates are progressing.

The Old Bournemouthians organise a popular Annual Dinner which provides an opportunity to come back to the town on one Friday evening each year and catch up with old friends and the school that has been such a key part of our early lives.

The organising committee invites a former pupil to give a speech after the dinner.  Over the years we have been entertained by bishops, newsreaders, journalists, newspaper editors, high-ranking military personnel and musicians who have all had the same thing in common – Bournemouth School.

Normally in attendance is a table of teaching staff as guests, along with Dr Dorian Lewis, our very supportive headmaster, as well as the school captain and a guest speaker.  A group of current 6th formers are also invited to give them a taste of life after school.

It is so very easy to keep in touch and be a part of the Old Bournemouthians Association.  Former students and leavers are asked to agree to their email addresses being kept in a confidential directory used only by the school to contact them about school and association related matters.  Details of the annual dinner, other social events and sporting fixtures, news of the school and much more are shared with former pupils who wish to maintain a link with Bournemouth School.  We look forward to seeing you again in the not too distant future!
