Financial Support

Financial Support

We do not want financial worries to prevent you from making the most of your opportunities in the Sixth Form, so we are pleased to offer assistance to those who genuinely need it via our 16-19 bursary.

Full details can be found in our policy but, broadly, awards may be made for Bournemouth School Sixth Form students who

  • are deemed to be part of a 'vulnerable group' (as defined in the policy), or
  • live in a household wherein the annual household income falls below £27,500.

If either of the above is true, you could be eligible for a bursary, which can be used in a number of specified ways to support this phase of your education.

The window for applications is open between Sixth Form registration day and the last Friday in September, in any given academic year. Within this period, to apply for a bursary award, please complete the form below. You will need to provide evidence in the form of uploaded documents or physical paperwork shown to the Director of Sixth Form.

Outside of this time, discretionary bursaries may still be available. If you would like to be considered, or need any help completing the form, please email the Director of Sixth Form.
