Start of Term - Bournemouth School

We look forward to welcoming you to the Sixth Form!

The first day of term for Year 12 is Thursday, 3 September 2026. Please arrive at Bournemouth School and use the Terrace Entrance at 8.30am. This will be a full school day.

Please note:

You will need to bring a pen and a note pad.
Students will not be allowed to leave the school site for lunch, so please bring a packed lunch; existing Bournemouth School students may purchase lunch from Le Bistro if they have sufficient credit on their ID cards.
Upon arrival, you will be directed to Le Bistro and will need to sign in with Mr Riddles. You will then be informed of your tutor group.
Ties which have purchased prior to the start of term will be issued during the day.

School Uniform

Our uniform expectations are detailed on our website. We will show flexibility to students who are likely to need financial support to purchase a suit.

Online Logins

Parents will shortly receive an email with login information for Arbor, our student management system. They will need to complete the process in Arbor by Monday, 31 August 2026. There is guidance information on our website regarding Arbor; should you experience any problems with Arbor once you have received the login information please contact us.

Parents will also receive an email with login information for WisePay, our online payment system. They will need to log in to WisePay before the start of term to pay the fee for a school tie/pin. There is guidance information on our website regarding WisePay; should you experience any problems with WisePay once you have received the login information, please contact us.

Free School Meals

If you are in receipt of free school meals, please provide this evidence as soon as possible via email or by post to:

Acceptable evidence includes a copy of your letter from the local authority confirming that you qualify for free school meals as of 31 October 2026, or have been in receipt of free school meals (or a letter from your current school to that effect) at any point during the six years to 31 October 2026.

Financial Support

Financial support may be available for eligible students through the 16-19 busary. Household income needs to be £27,500 or less to be eligible to apply. If you feel that you may qualify or benefit from this support, please complete the form on our website.

Withdrawing

If you change your mind and no longer wish to take up your place at Bournemouth School, please contact us as soon as possible.
