Alastair's biography:

David Castle writes: Alastair (Bill) Hamilton Beach joined the Royal Navy after school. He became a helicopter observer on Sea Kings. Observers co-ordinate operations including sea and air assets to defeat opposing forces. He rose through the ranks quickly and became a Lieutenant Commander.

Bill was mad keen on bikes. Happy days! Triumph motorcycles were his passion and we shared many hours tinkering on a 3TA and the jewel that was the T160 Trident.

Tragically, on his way from his home near RNAS Culdrose to join a ship’s detachment in Devonport he was involved in a car accident which he did not survive.

He left a wife, Anne, and an 18 month old baby daughter, Alicia.

Never forgotten and taken too soon. I have so many great memories of Bill. I still miss him and think of him often.
