Harvey's biography:

Bournemout born, raised and educated, before moving to Spain to pursue a career as a copywriter in the sun. After a childhood riddled with chronic health issues, I am now happily engaged and enjoying life more than ever. Healthy, grateful and wiser for my experiences.

What was best about Harvey's time at Bournemouth School?

Like-minded boys who became great men and lifelong friends.

Who does Harvey remember most fondly?

The standout teacher was John Hubbard, my A-Level English Literature teacher. A major shout-out to Elgar staff including Messrs Cook, Reidy and Beardshaw, and the legendary Mr Oates (Maths).

What would Harvey change about their time at Bournemouth School?

Honestly? Fewer bullies and more respect for students with physical and mental health issues.

What is Harvey's favourite anecdote/most vivid memory?

Mr Hubbard: “That was a red herring. Let us fish it out of the lake of distraction and watch it gasp its last dying breaths as we continue along the bank of Scholarship.”
A legendary quote!

Harvey's final thoughts

BS was a mixed bag for me. Some wonderful memories and experiences, and others not so much. But the friends I kept were more than worth the tough times. Oh to go back…
