Jishoden's biography:

I read Biomedical Sciences at Cardiff University, a highlight of which was a short research project at the Jinan University, Guangzhou. I then read medicine at the University of St Andrews and the University of Dundee. During my university year I played lots of sport and travelled.

Following completion of foundation training in Glasgow, I have begun my Registrar training in Radiology.

I have continued my passion for sports, regularly playing football, squash, climbing Munros and completing the Edinburgh Marathon (between nightshifts).

My experience at Bournemouth School augmented my zest for life and experiences, and I will continue to exercise it.

What was best about Jishoden's time at Bournemouth School?

A wonderful environment which is not easily replicated. A real ethos of respect, aspiration and devotion to developing both inside and outside of the classroom. I truly believe this was a solid foundation for navigating life later on.

Who does Jishoden remember most fondly?

I was fortunate enough to have meaningful relationships which helped influence my view of the world and myself. Notable mentions: Mr Robjohns, Mr Heyes, Dr Lewis, Mr Pardy, Mr Marsh and Mr Cook.
I was never fortunate enough to be in any of Mr Cook’s classes but his positive outlook was infectious. I gained a plethora of great pals!

What would Jishoden change about their time at Bournemouth School?

Absolutely nothing.

What is Jishoden's favourite anecdote/most vivid memory?

Mr Holmes’ chemistry lessons which extended beyond the curriculum would be up there. Our many sporting victories were also high up.
