What was best about Steve's time at Bournemouth School?
Might be a strange thing but I enjoyed studying Latin (in spite of the rather fierce Mr Pettoello in my early years at the school!).
Building great friendships in the school hockey team… Wednesday afternoons were most enjoyable.
Who does Steve remember most fondly?
Mr Mahoney, a great encourager and hockey enthusiast!
“Happy Harry” Hawkins, always smiling (well, almost always until we annoyed him!).
Mr Bursey who pushed me to become more competitive in the school swimming team (I was a reluctant partaker!).
What would Steve change about their time at Bournemouth School?
I would have got rid of the detested school caps we were forced to wear!
What is Steve's favourite anecdote/most vivid memory?
The 1973 fire.
