Final England Schools’ Rugby Trials

Congratulations to Bournemouth School student, Maximus, who was awarded a medal for participating in the Final England Schools’ Rugby Trials, in Telford, in March of this year.

Maximus had previously played for the Dorset County, but was invited to trial for the South West Counties last November where he successfully joined the South West Team. This then led to his invitation to participate in the Full England School’s trial this year, which involved a tournament of the South West, South East, Midlands and the North of England teams in a long weekend tournament.

The outcome of this tournament was a resounding win; with Maximus’s team beating the South East Team on Friday, winning again against the Midlands Team on the Saturday, losing to the North Team on Sunday; but winning the tournament overall.

Following his success, Maximus hopes to be selected for the full England Schools Team next year.
